Extreme Plastic Surgery Dog Edition

Molly, a one-year-old Shar Pei, suffered from a disease that caused her skin folds to grow over her eyes.  Eventually, without intervention, she would be rendered totally blind (as it was, she suffered from pain as her skin rubbed against her eyes).  Luckily, "extreme plastic surgery" saved her from the effects of her disease.

The vet who performed the surgery blamed overbreeding for Molly's condition.

"'Molly is a result of very bad breeding between dogs that are essentially diseased.  Molly was bred to satisfy a certain criteria on what they think a dog should look like rather than its health.'"

Dog News Daily salutes the vet, Dr. Richard Marks, for his wonderful work.  We think Molly looks super; how 'bout you?
