These Dogs Are Barking

Why do some dogs bark incessantly, and how can we keep our dogs from becoming the neighborhood nuisance?

Keep dogs indoors if possible.  If nothing else, it will muffle the sound for your neighbors.  If your dog must be let out for a potty break, visit the home during the lunch hour, install a doggy door, or enlist the help of a neighbor or friend to let your dog out during the day.
Keep a dog properly exercised.  A tired dog is too sleepy to bark a ton.
Set up little puzzles, such as hiding of treats, to keep your dog occupied.
