Smile Youre on Candid Web Cam

Missing your pup while you're at work?  Never fear! The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette cures your puppy blues with its Puppy Cam.

Golden Retriever Xante (prounounced Zan-tee) spends the early afternoon hours in the newspaper's office.  But he's not alone.  He's joined by the thousands of people who watch his puppy antics Monday through Friday via a live streaming web cam.

Xante, born last December, is not just a Web TV star; he's also a potential seeing eye dog.  Owner Joan Ardisson (assistant to the Post-Gazette's editor-in-chief) received Xante from The Seeing Eye Inc., and she will raise him until he is at least a year old.  He will then be professionally trained, tested, and paired with a seeing-impaired person.

Until then, though, enjoy watching Xante play, nap, and explore through the magic of the Internet.  It will surely help a bad case of the Mondays!
